How big of a yacht does a billionaire need? For Steven Spielberg , it must be bigger than the Seven Seas.
The American filmmaker fell in love with yachting in 2010. He built the Seven Seas with the help of the Dutch shipyard, Oceano , and the minds of Italians Nuvolari and Lenard.
The blueprint of the ship was made similarly alike with Oceano’s famous yachts, Alfa Nero and Amevi. And just like its kind, the Seven Seas stole the hearts of the public in the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show in 2010.
The Seven Seas highlights plenty of state-of-the-art exterior designs such as the infinity pool on the deck area. The main deck is conveniently convertible into a helicopter pad when needed or a perfect spot to host a party. The exterior beauty of it is extremely noticeable whether onshore or sailing across oceans.
The motor yacht isn’t just pretty on the outside but inside too. The interior is barely exposed to the public, but based on the reports; it has a modern-style architecture. The woody vibe of the ship mainly consists of walnut, teak, and rosewood.
There is also a private plunge pool exclusively accessible from the master suite located at the upper deck near the chamber. For the guests’ entertainment, the main salon is fully-equipped with home-theater furnishing and gadgets.
Sailing somehow correlates with indulgence as well. The Seven Seas’ dining area is spacious enough to serve all kinds of international-cuisine-themed parties. The roof allows the view of the night sky, which can be remotely covered by LCD.
The Seven Seas also has amenities such as a multi-functional gym for recreational activities and a spa to pamper afterward. It is a luxury yacht beautifully designed for the eyes and for relaxation.
The motor engine is powered by 2 MTU that allows the yacht to sail at the speed of 14 knots and can reach the maximum speed of 20 knots.
The 282-foot motor yacht has seven guest cabins that can accommodate up to 14 people for an overnight stay. The Seven Seas can take as much as 26 cabin crews onboard for the guests’ comfortable voyage. As enormous as it sounds, that is not big enough for Steven Spielberg.
There is no exact figure on how much will Spielberg sell the Seven Seas. The vessel is currently available for a monthly rental of $1.2 million, marking it as one of the most costly charters in the world.
Spielberg plans to build a 300-foot superyacht which will approximately cost $250 to manufacture. He must have bigger plans for wanting a bigger yacht.
