Kevin Hart is undeniably one of the most hardworking individuals in Hollywood . And as the saying goes, if you work hard, you should play hard. The comedian treats himself with luxury watches and expensive cars whenever he achieves a milestone in life. But before he was able to climb the ladder of success, he went through a needle’s hole first.
His mother Nancy Hart raised him and his older brother, Robert alone because his father was in and out of prison due to drug addiction. Kevin graduated in George Washington High School but didn’t finish his studies at the Community College of Philadelphia hoping to find a sustainable career. He moved to New York City, then to Brockton, Massachusetts where he landed a job as a shoe salesman.
Using humor to cope with his unpleasant childhood, Kevin decided to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. His journey wasn’t easy. People didn’t like him at first as much as they do now. They even threw a piece of chicken at him at one of his shows. Having a strong determination, Kevin didn’t let his downfalls totally bring him down. He pushed his luck in comedy tournaments around Massachusetts, and thankfully, received a more positive reception from the audience.
When Kevin finally got the hang of it, he began touring with his act called I’m a Grown Little Man in 2009, followed by Seriously Funny a year later. In 2011, Kevin earned more than $15 million from his Laugh at My Pain tour and was featured on the silver screen. He had two more tours entitled Let Me Explain in 2013 and What Now? Tour in 2015, which were also released in movie theaters.
After filling up several stadiums, he transitioned to releasing blockbuster movies cementing his name on both worlds. Now that Kevin is officially a superstar, he no longer have to endure poverty. In fact, he got himself some cool cars such as luxurious sports cars, SUVs, and vintage muscles.
Speaking of muscle cars, he recently acquired a custom-built 1970 Plymouth Barracuda called Menace. The classic car lives by its name because this beast is powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine hooked up to a 2.9-liter Whipple supercharger. With that kind of set-up, it can brutally produce up to 720 horsepower. While the engine has monstrous features, the exterior of it showcases a fine beauty of carbon fiber components, covered by Lakeshore Blue PPG paint. Everything else inside is also customized from its dashboard, leather seats, and more.
